Let’s start with a little walk down memory lane about how the magic of Beauty Holiday came to be!💫🎄❤️

It started back in 2010 when founder Lindsay Colameo Peragallo began working at @allure magazine as a beauty editor. Perks of the job– the opportunity to test out products and services from the top brands in the beauty industry.

Samples poured into Lindsay’s office and home in New York City, but with only one face, one body, and one (although wild) head of hair, there were only so many swipes, dabs, and reapplications a girl could do!

Lindsay’s heart of gold and passion for giving led her to plan an event where she could gift those on the “nice list”-- aka her best gal pals– with the mountain of beauty products that remained.

“During that very first event, I saw with such clarity how beautiful it was to ‘pay it forward,’ said Lindsay. “These products, which were inevitably cluttering my space, found new homes where they would be loved and enjoyed by others.”

She noted watching as the “pay it forward” mentality quickly spread outside of that room. Her friends began picking items not just for themselves, but for their mothers, sisters, grandmothers and more. It was the impact and power of giving that made Lindsay establish Beauty Holiday as an annual event- and coveted invite—year after year.

The event took on a new meaning in 2022 after Lindsay’s new community in Southwest Florida saw devastating destruction from Hurricane Ian. “There were so many people who lost everything and I wanted to help. I was blown away by how eager brands were to share products to support this mission,” explained Lindsay. “My friends came together to create curated self-care packages that we delivered directly to our neighbors in need.”

Continuing to help those in need became a central principle to subsequent Beauty Holiday events. In 2023, Lindsay and team helped to curate nearly 100 bags filled to the brim with self-care products that were donated to The Shelter, a local refuge for abused women and children in Naples, Florida.

This past year, 2024, marks yet another exciting milestone for this mission. After 14 years of events that grew in products, participants, and impact, Lindsay formalized Beauty Holiday Inc., as an official 501(c)(3) non-profit. With this recognition, she is joined by a Board of Directors dedicated to furthering her mission and impact on the community.
